neos® is an innovative medical device based on a virtual reality (VR) headset that employs infrared eye-tracking at 200 Hz to measure pupillary function, visual fields, ocular alignment, saccades, and other aspects of the neuro-ophthalmic exam.

Automated and objective measurements enable the neuro-ophthalmic exam to be performed and replicated both accurately and quickly by neos®. As such, neos® has great potential for triaging patients, particularly in the comprehensive ophthalmology setting. All patients tested with neos® receive pupillary assessment, ocular alignment measurements, and more, thus reducing time spent on manual examinations by technicians or physicians, with the goal of ultimately improving clinical efficiency.

When referral to a neuro-ophthalmology specialist is required, the quantitative neos® report can be used to convey key measurements about the afferent and efferent examination. Additionally, neos® is used in telemedical practices, relieving pressure on the scarce neuro-ophthalmologists.

neos® is registered as a Class I medical device in the USA.
